The inbox¶
The inbox is your starting page. It shows all the topics that are relevant to you – not as a long list sorted by date, but pre-sorted.
The idea behind it is that you shouldn’t have to decide for yourself where to start.
The six areas¶
In this order:
| Section | What’s inside |
|---|---|
| Running decisions | Issues with an ongoing decision |
| Needs attention | High priority, or the deadline expires within the next two days – or has already passed |
| Latest | Processed today |
| This week | Processed in the last week |
| Older | Everything else |
| Recently solved | Resolved, but not yet archived |
There are three things about this that are not self-explanatory:
Sort pending decisions by time remaining, not by last activity. The one that expires first appears at the top – because a decision you’re not involved in will lapse, no matter how quiet the thread has been.
‘Latest’ refers to since midnight, not the last 24 hours. The section is therefore cleared overnight, rather than being updated continuously.
Recently solved is collapsed by default. The topics within it automatically disappear into the archive] fourteen days after being resolved.
Unread only¶
A button hides everything you’ve already seen. Useful after a long absence, when the list is long.
Mute a topic¶
Click the bell icon next to a thread to mute it. You’ll still be part of the discussion and see the thread in its place, but you won’t receive any more notifications about it.
This is useful for topics that are widely discussed but only affect you in a minor way.
