Getting started¶
Arrival¶
You’ll receive an email containing a link. It will take you to a short form:
- Username – this is how others see you. You can change it at any time.
- Profile picture – optional.
- Newsletter – optional; occasional emails about new features.
Just click on Let's go, and you'll be taken to the organisation you've been invited to join.
!!! Info: "During the beta" Self-registration is not yet available. The Rhizome team sets up the first accounts for an organisation; the administration then invites further members.
What you see¶
On the left is the sidebar, and it’s organised by question – not where is something, but what do you need right now:
| Inbox | What’s happened since your last visit, sorted into sections]. A number shows how many items are unread. |
| Saved | What you’ve bookmarked |
| Tasks | What you need to do |
| Archive | What’s been completed but remains available to view |
| Search | Across everything: topics, posts, documents, tasks |
These include your groups and project groups – that’s where you’ll find the Topics. By clicking on the workspace name in the top left-hand corner, you can access the Settings, log out, provide feedback and access this documentation.
Getting started¶
- Open a topic. Click on one of your groups and see what people are working on there.
- Post something. Each topic has a thread; that’s where the conversation takes place.
- Start your own topic as soon as you come across something that needs the group’s attention – see Create a new topic.
Everything else – documents, tasks, decisions – emerges from the conversation itself. You don’t need to organise it in advance.
