Required majority¶
The required majority determines the threshold an option must reach in order to win.

| Relative majority (default) | The option with the most votes or points wins, with no minimum threshold |
| Absolute majority | An option must receive more than 50 per cent of the votes or points |
| Two-thirds majority | An option must receive at least 66 per cent of the votes or points |
| Custom | A user-defined percentage as the threshold |
The measurement is based on the total volume: the proportion of all votes cast or all points allocated. Votes for none of these are included in this calculation – they increase the denominator and thus make it more difficult to achieve the required majority.
Missing the mark means failure
If the leading proposal does not reach the threshold, the entire vote fails. The runner-up does not move up, and there is no second round of voting. You will then vote again – for example, as a Remix with the same proposals.
