Disqualifying resistance threshold¶
A point on the resistance scale at which a single vote is enough to overturn the decision. If anyone assigns this value to the proposal in the lead, the vote has failed – even if that proposal faced the least resistance overall.
The proposal that came second does not move up a place. You will make a new decision based on what you now know.
Settings¶
You click on the level directly on the same five-point emoji scale that will be used for voting later – ranging from no opposition to strong opposition. Clicking on the same level a second time removes the rule again.
The lower the threshold, the less it takes for the decision to fail. From the middle level onwards, Rhizome warns:

What is it for?¶
The resistance poll] uses totals, and a total might mask the desperation of individuals: nine people with mild resistance carry more weight than one for whom it really isn’t possible. This rule gives greater weight to individual cases.
It is therefore what constitutes the objection in consent and consensus – only without the obligation to provide reasons.
